Yogi Adityanath rakes up Jinnah at Jewar airport event

Targeting Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath raised Jinnah’s issue at a program organized to lay the foundation stone of the Noida International Airport in Jewar.

Yogi said that the western UP region is known for the sweetness of its sugarcane, but some people earlier changed it to frequent riots.

‚ÄúSome people had created bitterness in this sugarcane by starting a series of riots in the area. Today the country has two options – we have to decide whether to give fresh sweetness to sugarcane in this box or to allow the hatred of riots by Jinnah’s supporters. I am here today to find out.

Yadav recently sparked a controversy when he said that Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Pakistan’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah studied at the same institute and became barristers. All of them together had helped India get freedom and never backed down from any struggle.

The BJP has reprimanded him for his comments on several occasions. Home Minister Amit Shah had asked for SP, JAM (Jan Dhan, Aadhar, Mobile) stands for “Jinnah, Azam Khan and Mukhtar Ansari”.

Yogi ended his speech with the slogan “Jai, Jai Shri Ram” in jewellery.
